Board

Board members are appointed by the Mayor of McMinnville and confirmed by the City Aldermen. Appointments are made for 4-year terms, except in the case of an aldermanic representative, which is a yearly appointment.

The Secretary and General Counsel appointments are made by the Board of Public Utilities on a yearly basis.

The Board meets every 4th Thursday of each month at 5:30 p.m. in the Conference Room of McMinnville Electric System (MES):

MES customers may speak and offer comments during a meeting of the Board of Public Utilities Meeting by following MES’s Public Comments Policy. To request to speak, the MES customer must contact MES by calling (931) 473-3144 before noon on the business day before the scheduled meeting, provide their name and service address to verify that the speaker is a customer of MES, and shall also give a brief summary of the subject matter upon which the speaker intends to speak.
